We have had a new bird feeder in our garden recently which has attracted so many little birds we lose count. We can have half a dozen or more feeding, twenty or more on the ground collecting the bits that fall and a long queue in the hedge waiting their turn while yet more are bathing and drinking! It is not unusual to have 50 or more in the garden at one time. We cannot watch this scene without being reminded of Matthew 10 v 29. 'Are not two sparrows sold for a penny ? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father....... So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.'
